Hungalimentaria, the tenth time Anniversary Hungalimentaria conference and exhibition more successful than ever. More than 300 participants and 30 exhibitors attended the conference organized by WESSLING and NÉBIH, 57 lectures were presented, and the list of participants included authority figures and most important representatives of relevant ministries, independent testing laboratories and the food industry (manufacturers, service providers, distributors)
Food was alive again – the Day of the Profession was organized for the 17th time. Featured topics of the conference successfully organized on May 28 by the trade magazine Food included Sunday closing, illegal trade, experience of the introduction of the EKÁER system, and also possibilities for VAT reduction. As usual, lecturers and participants of roundtable conversations were selected from among major players of the sector, the largest manufacturing companies, retail chains and leaders of state agencies regulating the area.
United against wasting food. On June 3rd and 4th, two successive events were organized by the Hungarian Food Bank Asociation about the issues of reducing food waste.
Chance to the Food Day – 5000 servings of food prepared from food waste. Following London, Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels and other metropolises, the Chance to the Food Day was organized in Budapest on June 4th at the Food Bank. At the event, 5000 servings of food were prepared in a huge cauldron for those in need from good quality raw materials that became superfluous somewhere. read more ...
